Commercial Site Work Contractor in East Texas
Our Commercial Services
Commercial Land Clearing
Commercial clearing is the first line item on the schedule and the first thing an inspector looks at. Dura Land Solutions clears and grubs commercial sites, utility corridors, and development tracts across East Texas to the limits on your civil plans, with erosion controls in before the first tree comes down.

Commercial Excavation & Grading
Dura Land Solutions is a commercial excavation and grading contractor for East Texas: mass grading, cut and fill, building pads, parking subgrades, pond excavation, and underground utilities, built to your civil grading plan and geotechnical report, with density testing coordinated lift by lift.

Commercial Concrete Slabs
Dura Land Solutions pours concrete slabs and foundations for commercial buildings and metal buildings across East Texas, built to your structural engineer's design. Because we also build the pad underneath, a general contractor or owner can hand us the job from clearing through finished concrete.

Detention Pond Construction
Commercial and subdivision projects in East Texas usually have to hold back the extra runoff they create. Dura Land Solutions builds detention and retention ponds to your civil engineer's drainage plan: excavation to design elevations, compacted embankments, outlet structures, and stabilization. We've built numerous commercial retention ponds.

Subdivision Site Development
Dura Land Solutions does site development for subdivisions and new development communities across East Texas: clearing, roads, culverts and drainage, detention, underground utilities, lot pads, and driveways, built to your engineer's plans and the county or city standards they reference.

One Site Contractor from Clearing to Concrete
Dura Land Solutions is a commercial site work contractor based in Huntsville, working for general contractors, developers, building owners, and industrial clients across East Texas. We take a commercial site from raw ground to finished concrete: clearing, excavation and mass grading, detention ponds, underground storm, water, and sewer lines, roads, building pads, and the concrete slab itself. A GC or owner can hand us the whole site package, or just the part they need.
Cody Smith has been in the industry for over 15 years. Our work has included private roads, driveways for new development communities, concrete pads for homes, metal building complexes over 400,000 square feet, and numerous commercial retention ponds. A typical job has 20 to 30 people on site, and we bring in more when a project calls for it. References from developers and general contractors are available on request.

Equipment
Our fleet includes John Deere 333G compact track loaders, John Deere 350G and Caterpillar 320E excavators, John Deere 850K and Caterpillar D6N dozers, forestry mulching heads, and a motor grader. We use rollers and dump trucks on most jobs, and bring in other equipment when a project calls for it. Dozers and excavators carry the mass grading, clearing, and pond work; the motor grader and track loaders handle fine grading, roads, and tight sites.
How to Send Plans for a Bid
Use the bid request form or call (936) 355-3471. To bid accurately we need:
- Civil plans (grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control sheets) — a link to a plan room or file share works
- The geotechnical report
- Foundation plans, if you want us to pour the slab
- Your schedule, phasing, and bid due date
- Which scopes you want priced: clearing, earthwork, utilities, ponds, roads, pad, slab
Where We Work
We take commercial work in Walker, Montgomery, Grimes, Madison, Brazos, San Jacinto, Trinity, Leon, and Polk counties, based at 187 FM 2628 in Huntsville. For a project just outside those counties, call and ask.
What kinds of commercial clients do you work for?
General contractors, developers, building owners, and industrial clients. We can take the full site package from clearing through the concrete slab, or a single scope like earthwork, a detention pond, or the slab.
Can one contractor handle clearing through the concrete slab?
Yes. We clear, grade, build and test the pad, and pour the slab to the engineer's design. If your project already has a concrete sub, we hand off a finished pad instead.
What do you need from us to bid a commercial job?
Civil plans, the geotechnical report, foundation plans if we're pouring the slab, your schedule and bid due date, and which scopes you want priced. A link to a plan room or file share is fine.
How large a project can you take on?
Our work has included metal building complexes over 400,000 square feet and numerous commercial retention ponds. A typical job has 20 to 30 people on site, and we bring in more people and equipment when a project calls for it.
Do you do public works projects?
Yes. County and municipal work is covered on our public works pages, separate from private commercial work.
