Our Specialty Services Services

Food Plots

East Texas whitetail deer don't come to a property by accident — they come for food, cover, and water. Dura Land Solutions clears and prepares food plots for landowners and hunting lease operators across Walker, Grimes, Madison, Trinity, and surrounding counties. We handle the heavy work: timber removal, stump grinding, rough grading, and drainage — so you can get seed in the ground and bucks on your property.

Horse Arena Construction

East Texas is horse country — barrel racers, ropers, cutters, and pleasure riders all need a working arena that performs in January mud and August heat. Dura Land Solutions builds horse arenas throughout the region with proper drainage design, quality footing preparation, and the grading precision that keeps your footing consistent from rail to rail. We build arenas that work, not just arenas that look good on the day the equipment leaves.

Shooting Range Construction

Rural East Texas landowners have the acreage to build private shooting ranges — and the reasons to want one. Dura Land Solutions constructs private shooting ranges for handgun, rifle, and shotgun practice on rural properties across the region, building the earthen berms, backstops, and range layouts that make a private range both safe and genuinely usable. No more driving to a public range. Practice on your schedule, at your pace.

ATV Trail Construction

If you own rural acreage in East Texas and ride ATVs, UTVs, or dirt bikes, a proper trail network transforms how you use your land. Dura Land Solutions builds ATV and UTV trail systems for private landowners across the region — cutting trail lanes, mulching brush, grading for drainage, and building the stable, rideable surfaces that work through wet East Texas winters and dry summer hardpan. This is what rural acreage was made for.

Bridge Construction

Dura Land Solutions builds private bridges and improved stream crossings for rural landowners throughout East Texas. When a culvert isn't enough and a low-water crossing leaves you stranded after every rain, a proper bridge keeps your property accessible year-round. We build vehicle-rated crossings using concrete, steel, and timber framing systems designed for the loads your property actually requires — from UTVs and pickups to farm tractors and loaded cattle trailers.

Recreational Court Construction

Dura Land Solutions builds outdoor recreational courts — basketball courts, pickleball courts, tennis courts, and multi-sport surfaces — for residential and commercial properties across East Texas. A recreational court is a large, precisely graded concrete slab. Getting the subgrade right, building in proper drainage, and pouring to the correct thickness and finish isn't optional. We bring the same site preparation standards to court construction that we bring to every concrete pad we build.

Sprinkler System Installation

Dura Land Solutions designs and installs underground irrigation and sprinkler systems for residential properties, commercial landscapes, and rural acreage across East Texas. The trenching, pipe routing, head placement, and controller setup are all handled by our crew. A properly designed sprinkler system covers your lawn, garden, or property evenly without over-watering zones that don't need it or under-watering the ones that do.

Specialty Land Services for East Texas Properties

Beyond standard clearing and earthwork, Dura Land Solutions provides a range of specialty land services tailored to the needs of rural East Texas landowners: food plot establishment, horse arena construction, shooting range grading, and ATV trail construction. These are the projects that turn raw acreage into a functional property — the improvements that make rural land worth owning and living on year-round.

Rural landowners in East Texas have specific visions for their land. A hunter wants cleared, seeded food plots that attract deer and turkey. A horse owner wants a properly built arena with the right base footing. A family wants ATV trails through their timber that hold up through seasons of use. We build all of these — not as an afterthought, but as specialized services with the attention to detail each application requires.

Purpose-Built for Rural East Texas Living

What makes specialty land services different from standard site work is that the end use defines the specifications. A horse arena isn't just a flat rectangle — it needs specific base material at specific depth, crowned for drainage, with footing that compacts correctly under hoof traffic. A shooting range backstop berm needs compacted fill at the right height and angle to safely arrest bullets. A food plot needs soil preparation that gives your seed the best chance to establish and produce.

Dura Land Solutions understands these specific requirements and builds specialty improvements that do what they're supposed to do. We've built arenas, ranges, food plots, and trails throughout Walker County and the surrounding region. For metal building site prep, see our dedicated Metal Buildings service. How do you establish a food plot for deer and turkey?

Food plot work starts with clearing the plot area of competing vegetation — trees, brush, and sod — then grading the surface to a gentle slope that drains without eroding. Soil testing is recommended before seeding; most East Texas soils benefit from lime application to correct pH before planting clover, ryegrass, or other food plot mixes. We handle the clearing and soil prep; seeding and soil amendments can be done by you or coordinated with an ag supplier.

What does a proper horse arena base consist of?

A horse arena needs a stable, well-draining base with the right footing material on top. The base typically consists of compacted native soil or select fill, graded to a slight crown so the arena drains from center to edges without creating a slope horses slip on. On top of that base, a layer of footing material — decomposed granite, sand, rubber, or a blend — is added to the depth appropriate for your discipline. We build the base; footing material is typically sourced and installed separately.

Can you build ATV trails that hold up through East Texas rain seasons?

Yes. Trail construction that holds up requires proper design from the start: routing trails along ridge lines where possible to minimize water crossing, installing drainage features (water bars, drainage dips, culverts at crossings) throughout the trail, and using the right base material on any section that will carry regular traffic. Trails built without drainage features become eroded channels after a few rain seasons. We design and build trails that stay rideable year-round.
