Parking Lots & Pad Sites
Our Parking & Pads Services
Gravel Parking Lots
A properly built gravel parking lot gives churches, equipment dealers, contractors, warehouses, and rural businesses a durable, cost-effective parking solution that handles real traffic loads. Dura Land Solutions grades the site, installs geotextile fabric, compacts 6 to 8 inches of flex base, and finishes with proper crown and drainage so your lot holds up through wet seasons and heavy use.

RV Parking Pads
An RV parking pad needs to be level, solid, and properly drained — three things that don't happen without real site work. Dura Land Solutions grades, compacts, and builds RV pads on rural East Texas properties using heavy-duty flex base or concrete, with optional utility stub-outs for electric, water, and sewer so your site is ready for full hookup use.

Pad Sites
A pad site is the graded, engineered foundation platform that makes commercial construction possible. Whether you're developing a strip center, fuel station, fast food outparcel, or standalone retail building in Walker County or Montgomery County, Dura Land Solutions handles the earthwork — mass grading, subgrade preparation, detention coordination, utility rough-in, and fire lane installation — so your pad is certified to plan before a slab is poured.

Concrete Parking Lots
A concrete parking lot is the most durable commercial paving option available — no rutting in summer heat, no pothole patching after every freeze-thaw cycle, no ongoing maintenance beyond cleaning and occasional joint sealing. Dura Land Solutions handles subgrade preparation, forming, reinforcement, placement, and joint design for concrete parking lots serving small businesses, retail centers, churches, and industrial facilities throughout East Texas.

Parking Lots and Pad Sites in Huntsville, TX
Dura Land Solutions constructs gravel parking lots, concrete parking lots, RV parking pads, and commercial pad sites for businesses, rural properties, and industrial facilities throughout East Texas. Parking surfaces take a beating — repeated traffic, heavy vehicle loads, and weather cycles degrade surfaces that weren't built on a proper base. We build parking areas and pad sites the right way from the start: cleared and graded subgrade, adequate base depth for the expected load, proper drainage slope, and materials matched to the application.
Gravel is the practical choice for most rural and small commercial parking applications — lower cost, easier to install and maintain, and drains naturally rather than creating runoff that must be managed. Concrete is the right choice where a hard, permanent surface is required: high-traffic commercial lots, RV parking where leveling matters, and pad sites where a solid base under equipment is critical. We provide both and will recommend the right option for your use case and budget.
Commercial Pad Sites and Large-Scale Parking
Commercial pad site preparation requires the same precision as a building pad — compaction to engineered specifications, proper drainage integration with the site plan, and subgrade preparation that will support the finished surface's design life. Dura Land Solutions works with commercial developers and business owners on pad sites throughout the Conroe, Huntsville, Bryan, and College Station corridors, providing earthwork that meets commercial construction standards.
For business owners who need a functioning parking area without the cost of full commercial paving, a properly graded and based gravel lot is a durable, practical solution. We grade, compact, and surface gravel lots that drain well, hold their shape under traffic, and can be economically maintained over time. How much base depth does a gravel parking lot need?
A minimum of 4 inches of compacted base material over a properly prepared subgrade handles light passenger vehicle traffic. Lots that serve pickup trucks, trailers, or heavy equipment should have 6 inches or more. We assess your expected traffic and subgrade soil conditions and specify base depth accordingly — installing too little base is the most common cause of gravel lot failure.
Can you build an RV parking pad that stays level?
Yes. RV pads require a firm, level surface with adequate base compaction to prevent settling under the weight of the RV. We excavate, compact the subgrade, install a base layer, and finish grade to a level surface. For long-term RV parking, concrete is the most stable option; for occasional use, a well-compacted gravel or road base pad works well.
What's a commercial pad site and when do I need one?
A pad site is a prepared building platform — cleared, graded, and compacted to the elevation and specifications a building contractor or equipment operator needs to start work. Commercial developers, restaurant franchises, and retail tenants often need pad sites prepared before their building contractors mobilize. We prepare pad sites to engineered spec and can coordinate with your GC on handoff timing.
